So Freakin Grateful

You guys… this week was intense! So many huge things happening for our family and then so many huge things for the store!

This week we prepared to leave Alaska for Spring Break. I started Google Ads for my web business class and spent way too long tailoring them to the perfect customer. I personally LOVE ads. I mean… especially the ones that have nothing to do with what you are searching for and interrupt your favorite shows! lol I really felt like I needed to be careful with how I did it so it would only ever reach the RIGHT customer. I tried to really pay attention to any ideas my classmates had.

Then… we took our daughter to Utah where she will get training before spending a year and a half serving others. Not physically seeing her for so long seems rough. Dropping her off was way harder than we all thought! But, she was ready and so excited to go help other people!

Then… I started looking at my other assignments. (Cause online college classes could care less when my kid’s spring break is.) And I noticed that I was going to need to ask my potential customers questions. After talking it over with the hubby… A soft launch was the perfect answer! We went ahead and made a video announcing the opening of the store and posted it to social media. We made a link at the top of the website that would ask all the questions I thought I needed to complete my assignment. And we POSTED IT!

Holy smokes was the feedback amazing! I was so nervous about this move to a new brand and about creating a store to go alongside my social media site. The Sarcastic Alaskans was really intended to be a social media page where we could share our Alaska adventures and be silly and snarky about it. After going through several classes, with the advisement of friends, and feeling burnt out on my Etsy shop… a rebrand really was the perfect thing for our family. I only hope that all these classes and paying attention to our followers and customers can help us to find the exact right products, while STILL supporting other small businesses!

It feels like a huge week. Cause… it was! And thank you to everyone who follows us. You are the best! I mean… WORST!
